Job Description
- Strategic Development – shaping and refining the organisations digital vision and its ongoing evolution to drive commercial growth and high levels of customer experience.
- Responsible for the organisations technology and digital landscape – to make sure that systems operate as they should, are always available and are protected, including compliance to cyber standards, operate efficiently, have appropriate quality assurance and data protection and have visible KPIs and align to financial budgets.
- To develop an IT roadmap that gives a commercial advantage – working with the Commercial and Marketing teams to ensure delivery of the required customer experience and maximise the sales opportunity.
- Continuous development – maintain a forward view on the future strategic direction of our systems and ensure appropriate plans are in place to maintain well-supported and relevant systems.
- This includes developing a collaboration strategy with our technology partners to ensure continuous learning.
- Ways of working: develop a suitable, agile way of working to develop our systems and an appropriate balance in relationships with external partners and internal stakeholders. To ensure our company technologies are used appropriately and profitably.
- Senior team – member of the Ops Board, playing an active role as a leader of the business to align functions, support future strategy and drive the business to achieve its goals.
- Partnership with PMO – to drive business outcomes, prioritise projects and drive value for the business whilst working in an agile way.
- Profile We are looking for is a seasoned CIO who has demonstrable experience with; strategic thinking, commercial acumen, cadence and drive for excellent execution.
- The ideal candidate will have proven experience in fast paced, commercial sectors and be able to help solve some of the immediate challenges faced by the business.
• Relevant qualifications and experience envisioning and bringing to life commercially focused technology strategy and roadmap.
• Strong ERP experience, you will be able to fix the ‘SAP Problem’
• Distribution (Warehouse management systems experience)
• E-Commerce technology experience
• Hybrid Cloud experience, 365 & Azure
• Experience of agile methodologies and application to deliver vision
• Sound technical leadership in all aspects of business
• Strategic thinking and strong business acumen
• Well versed in current technological trends and familiar with a variety of business concept’s
• Proven experience as a CIO or similar leadership role
• Ability to conduct technological analysis and research
• Experience of delivering within budget and planning effectively
